MTC provides coverage for the freight or commodity hauled by a for-hire trucker, subject to standard policy exclusions and limitations. It covers liability for cargo that is lost or damaged due to covered perils such as fire or collision and even covers the striking of the load being transported by your truck. MTC is only available to for-hire trucking risks with one or more of the following body types: dump truck, tractor, most trailers, box trucks, cement mixers, cargo vans, dually pick-ups, flatbeds and car haulers.
